Before the talent show on Wednesday night, the American Legion Auxiliary Missouri Girls State Band performed for the first time. Leading up to the performance, tension was high. The first practice for the band took place on Monday in the Scheidegger Theatre. The band has worked diligently for the last few days to prepare for their first performance. They played pep music including Sweet Caroline, Don’t Stop Believin’, and YMCA. To cap off their performance, they played the official MGS song. The band was nervous, but after hearing the positive reactions from their friends and staff, they knew that they had succeeded and had a spectacular performance! The band will perform again at Inauguration on Friday, so bring your support!
