My name is Miss Hattie, and I am the Journalism Coordinator for Missouri Girls State, or MGS as we like to call it! I found my love for empowering and leading young women when I was a MGS delegate in 2016. This is my 3rd year on staff. With me this week is Miss Marissa, the Journalism Assistant Counselor.
This week 14 journalists, one from each MGS city, will write stories that give you a glimpse into Missouri Girls State. Articles will range from election results, to guest interviews, explanations of MGS structures, and editorial pieces. Additionally, Gazette journalists write and ask candidates questions at the press conference on Thursday.
No democracy is complete without the freedom of the press!
